History
Miss Clark County/Miss Clark County’s Teen are preliminaries to Miss Washington/Miss Washington’s Teen and Miss America/Miss America’s Teen. Miss America started in 1921 by businessmen in Atlantic City as a way of extending the summer season. Years later, the Miss America Organization has become the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for women. It is an organization dedicated to empowering young women to achieve their personal, professional and education goals. Miss America instills a spirit of community service through a variety of unique national and community based programs. This community service is highly focused on at our local level with projects and services for all participants ages 6-28. Records show that Miss Clark County began in 1949 and Miss Clark County’s Teen began in 2006. The Miss Clark County Scholarship Foundation was formed as a 501c3 in July 2018.
Our Team
In August 2015, a core group of volunteers accepted the invitation to purchase the Miss Clark County franchise from the Miss Washington program. Their strong teamwork is focused on building the program as it provides young ladies with the necessary skills and scholarship assistance to become college and career ready.
